He has no known grave and is commemorated on the MENIN GATE MEMORIAL [Panel 9] for those missing at the Battle of Ypres

He is remembered on the memorial at Christ Church, Lee.

Born spring 1890 Lewisham RD. Son of Alfred and the late Kate Godfree [nee Hatcher Married spring 1883 Greenwich RD, she died Spring 1911 at 50 Lewisham Rd], of "Kingswood," Burnt Ash Road, Lee. His brother Reginald Barber also died duringWW1.
