Private 353553 GEORGE GODDARD of the 7th ( City of London) battalion London Regiment was killed in action on 25 April, 1917 age 39.
He is buried and remembered in Chester Farm Cemetery near Ypres.

He was born in Breckles, Norfolk. He was the husband of Ethel Annie Goddard of 163 Engleheart Road, Catford. In 1899 he married Ethel Annie Whyman in the Horsey Rise, Islington, London. In 1911 he was a Bank Porter living with Ethel and 2 children: Ivy Annie born 1900 Horsey, London and George Cecil born 1901 in Putney.
