Spring of 1897 to 9 October 1917.

War Service:
Private 235645 WALTER CHARLES GOATCHER of 1/5th battalion West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own) was killed in action on 9 October 1917.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial and on the memorial in Addey and Stanhope School, Deptford.

Details:
He was born in Wandsworth in the spring of 1897.
