Glass, Frederick Harold

Autumn of 1893 to 8 January 1918

War Service:
Gunner L/227 FREDERICK HAROLD GLASS of ā€˜Dā€™ Battery, 23 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery died of wounds on 8 January 1918.

He is buried in Mendinghem Military Cemetery near Poperinge. There were three Casualty Clearing Stations in this area and the troops nicknamed them Bandaghem, Mendinghem and Dozinghem.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the Sydenham South Suburban Gas Works war memorial. There is an H Glass on the St Michael and All Angels Church War Memorial.

Details:
He was born in Lewisham in the autumn of 1893.
