Second Lieutenant CECIL T GIBBS of the 9th Battalion the Essex Regiment died on 9 April 1917, the first day of the second Battle of Arras. He was 21.

He is buried in Feuchy Chapel British Cemetery, Wancourt, near Arras.

He is remembered on the memorial at Brockley School.

Details:
He was born in Stoke Newington, the son of Alfred and Gertrude Gibbs.
