Second Lieutenant CECIL T GIBBS of the 9th Battalion the Essex Regiment died on 9 April 1917, the first day of the second Battle of Arras. He was 21.
Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Feuchy Chapel British Cemetery, Wancourt, near Arras and remembered on the war memorial at Brockley School.
Details:
He was born in Stoke Newington, the son of Alfred and Gertrude Gibbs.
