Rifleman Gibbins, Sidney William 2477 of the 5th London Regiment. He enlisted in London and was killed in action 1 July 1916.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the missing of the Somme.
Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the on the memorials at the church of St James, Hatcham and on the St George's Church Brockley now the Brockley Elim Baptist church.
Details:
He was born in the spring 1896 in the Greenwich RD and when he enlisted he was living in Brockley.
