Rifleman ALBERT AUGUSTUS GAWTHORN of the 9th battalion London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles) died of wounds on 8 May 1917, aged 20.

He is buried in Grevillers British cemetery near Bapaume.

He is remembered on the memorial at St Peter’s church, Brockley.

Details:
He was the son of Mrs. Emily Morris (formerly Gawthorn), of 25, Doggett Rd., Catford.
