Lance Corporal 6305 WILLIAM JAMES GAUL of 14th battalion Northumberland Fusiliers died of wounds on 24 July 1918.

He is buried in Hamburg cemetery, Germany. From the date of his death and the location of his grave he was probably a prisoner of war.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at the church of St Catharine, Hatcham.

Details:
He was born in Newcastle.
