Driver THOMAS FREDERICK GAMBLIN of 34 Battery, 189 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery was killed in action on 6 January 1918, aged 21.

He is buried in Roisel Communal Cemetery Extension near Peronne.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorials at St Mary’s School and the former church of St Mark, Lewisham.

Details:
He was the son of Thomas Frederick and Edith E Gamblin of Lewisham. His brother Frank was killed on 31 May 1918 while serving with the Devonshire Regiment.
