He was 45. He was born in Hackney.
He was the son of the late Robert and Sapphire Frankis and husband of Florence Louise Frankis. They married in Southwark in the spring of 1891 and lived in Vaughan Place, Old Kent Road.
Before enlisting he was a wood turner.
