Private G/5842 EDWARD FRANKIS of 6th battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) was killed in action on 8 October 1915.

he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He was also commemorated on the memorial which stood in Monson Road in New Cross.

Details:
He was 45. He was born in Hackney. He was the son of the late Robert and Sapphire Frankis and husband of Florence Louise Frankis. They married in Southwark in the spring of 1891 and lived in Vaughan Place, Old Kent Road. Before enlisting he was a wood turner.
