Fishley, Frederick John Russell

War Service:
Corporal 269584 FREDERICK JOHN RUSSELL FISHLEY of 3rd battalion Bedfordshire Regiment died in the Croydon area ( probably in one of the military hospitals) on 17 October 1918. He is buried in Brockley cemetery.

This battalion served throughout the war in the vicinity of Harwich and Felixstowe providing home defence and training drafts for front line units.

He is buried in Brockley cemetery where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details:
He was 31 years old, the son of Frederick and Jane Fishley of Clapham and husband of Gertrude Elizabeth Fishley of Nettleton Rd., New Cross.
