Private 8114 FREDERICK WILLIAM ANDERSON EWENS of 4th (Queen's Own) Hussars died of wounds on 31 October 1914.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the memorial at the Church of St Catharine, Hatcham.

Details:
He was born in Peckham and lived in Nunhead. He went to France on 15 August 1914.
