Edwards, Thomas

Dates: c1891 - 1916

War Service: Thomas Edwards served as a Rifleman with the 1st Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps and his service number was 5/5120. He died on 14th November 1916, aged 25. He is commemorated on Thievpal memorial.

Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the St Pauls, Deptford WW1 War Memorial.

Details: In 1901, Thomas Edwards, was recorded living at 16 Bronze Street, Deptford with his parents, Thomas and Amelia. He had two brothers, William and George, and a sister, Annie. His mother in 1902 aged 30.

On the 1911 census he was recorded living at 23 Comet Street, Deptford with his widowed father and his siblings. He is employed as a general labourer.
