War Service:
Second Lieutenant HARRISON EDKINS of 1/21 Battalion, London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles) was killed in action on 15 September 1916 in the fighting for High Wood.

He is buried in Adanac Cemetery, Miraumont.

He is remembered on the memorials of St Philip the Apostle, Sydenham and St Nicholas, Bookham.

Details:
He was 20 years old, the son of Robert P. and Lucy E. H. Edkins, late of Dulwich, London, now of "The Small House," Great Bookham, Surrey. He was educated at Dulwich College and Corpus Christi, Oxford where he won a ‘Charles Oldham’ scholarship in Classical studies. The Harrison Edkins Memorial Prize for Music was endowed at Dulwich in his memory.
