Dunkley, Henry Newnam

Second Lieutenant HENRY NEWNAM DUNKLEY, of ‘B’ company, 12 battalion East Surrey Regiment died on 21 September 1917, aged 24. He enlisted in the 15th London Regiment (Civil Service Rifles) in 1914 and was commissioned in June 1917 from the Officer Training Corps at Keble College, Oxford.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the memorial at Haberdashers' Aske's School in New Cross.

Details:
He was the son of William and Emily Dunkley, of 5, St. Margaret's Road, Plumstead.
