Officer's Cook 3rd Class JOHN FREDERICK DUNCAN was one of two men killed when the light cruiser HMS Attentive was bombed at Dover on 7 September 1915. Seven other men were wounded.

He is buried in Brockley cemetery where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Location of Memorial:
He was also remembered the memorial which stood in Monson Road in New Cross.

Details:
He was 20. He was born in Deptford, the son of Stewart William and Priscilla Mary Duncan.
