Sergeant 743 LESLIE SIDNEY DUCK of ‘C’ company,1/21st battalion, London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles) was killed in action on 23 May 1916. It seems that he had previous service with the 21/Londons and then joined the reserve as his service record refers to him undertaking annual training in 1909 – 1912 and states that he was re-engaged on 7 December 1912.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial

He was on the memorial at St Cyprian’s church, Brockley.

He was the son of William Lisney and Mary Ann Duck, of 237, Brockley Rd., Brockley .
