Charles Dowsett was a Private [service number G/8953] in the 11th Bn Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). He also served with the Labour Corps and (447195) 91st Area Employment Coy. He died 21 October 1918 aged 28.

He is buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery [LXVI K 1].

Location of Memorial:
He is also commemorated on the South Suburban Gas Works War Memorial at Bell Green, Sydenham.

Details:
He was the son of Harry and Emily Dowsett; husband of F. Dowsett, of 35, Theydon St., Walthamstow, London. Native of Sydenham.
