War Service: Sydney Arthur Denton served as a Sapper with 21 Bomb Disposal Company Royal Engineers. His service number was 2127488. He died on 9th November 1945 aged 35.

Location of Memorial:He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: In 1911 Sydney Arthur Denton was recorded living at 19 Edward Street, Deptford with his parents, William Thomas and Florence Eliza, and his siblings Thomas Charles, Alfred, Frank, Alice Lilian, Ethel Eliza, Violet Helena and Ivy. Three other siblings had already died by 1911.
