Private 1128 LEONARD DENNEY of 'D' Company, 3rd battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) died in Lewisham Military Hospital on 27 February 1916, aged 23.

Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Ladywell cemetery where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those servicemen whose graves are not marked by a headstone.

Details:
He enlisted in Maidstone on 3 September 1914. He gave his occupation as gas works labourer. He was the husband of Beatrice Denney of 42, Astbury Road, Queen's Road, Peckham. They married in Bermondsey in the spring of 1913.
