Private 190579 FREDERICK GEORGE DEACON of 738 Area Employment Company, Labour Corps died in Lewisham Hospital on 14 February 1919, aged 20. He had previously served as private 202599 in the 2/4th battalion of the Norfolk Regiment.

He is buried in Nunhead cemetery where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Lewisham Military Hospital memorial outside University Hospital Lewisham.

Details:
He was the brother of Mrs. E. Sampson, of 2D, Armada St., Deptford.
