PEDRO BOUTROIEUX DE GREY was born in France on 14 July 1893. In 1914 he volunteered for the French Army and was posted to the 9th Artillery Division of 5th Army Corps. He was promoted for bravery to the rank of Marechal de Logis (approximately equivalent to sergeant) and was killed in action on the Aisne on 8 June 1915 while carrying out his duty as a forward observer for his battery.

He is buried in the Necropole Nationale at Les Islettes.

His name is remembered on the war memorial at St Dunstan’s College

Details:
He was educated at the Institution Moderne at Enghien-les-Bains and on moving to England with his guardian in 1907 became a pupil at St Dunstan’s College.
