Sergeant REGINALD DAY of the 11th (Lewisham) battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) died on 15 September 1916, aged 26. On this day the battalion took part in the attack on Flers, its first major action.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the war memorial at St Mildred’s church, Lee.

Details:
He was the son Mrs. A. M. Day, of 78, Baring Road, Lee.
