Private 20089 CHARLES JOHN DAWES of No. 3 Supernumerary Company National Reserve died on 27 October 1915, aged 37. He had formerly served with 20th Battalion the London Regiment.

He is buried in Commonwealth War Graves plot in Ladywell cemetery where his name is remembered on the wall.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the Lewisham Military Hospital memorial outside University Hospital Lewisham.

Details:
He was the husband of M. M. Dawes, of 57, Devonshire Road, Greenwich.
