Second Lieutenant MAURICE OLIVER ARTHUR DAVIS of 18th (County of London) battalion London Regiment (London Irish Rifles) died of wounds on 1 March 1918, aged 23.

He is buried in Rocquigny-Equancourt British Cemetery between Bapaume and Peronne.

Location of Memorial:
He is also remembered on the memorial at Haberdashers' Aske's School in New Cross.

Details:
His death was reported in The Times of 9 March 1918. He was the son of William and Annie Davis, of "Sherwood," Beeches Avenue, Carshalton. He was born in South Norwood.
