Davis, Bertie

Dates: 1886-1920

War Service: Bertie Davis served as a Sapper with the Royal Engineers and his service number was 44240. He died on 12th October 1920, aged 34.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: Bertie Davis was born c. 1886 in Bromley. In his will he gave his home address as 39 Oscar Street, Deptford and he left £26 to his sister Ada Mildred Ward (wife of Charles John Ward).
