Lieutenant CECIL JAMES DAVIES of the Royal Field Artillery died of bronchial pneumonia on 25 November 1918, aged 26. At the time of his death he was serving with the Occupied Enemy Territory Administration in Jerusalem.
He is buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery.
Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on both the WW1 memorial and a private memorial at Christ Church, Forest Hill.
Details:
He was the son of James and Kate Davies, of Clayton House, 13, Church Rd., Forest Hill. His brother Norman was killed in action on 2 September 1918 while serving with the Essex Regiment.
