Daniels, Albert Sydney

Dates: 1894-1918

War Service: Albert Sydney Daniels served as a Corporal with the Royal Field Artillery and his service number was 71873. He died on 5th March 1918 at the War Hospital, Sunderland, aged 23.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: Albert Sydney Daniels was born c. 1894 in Deptford to William and Lenora Daniels.

In 1901 he was recorded living at 110 Glengall Road, Poplar with his parents, his sisters Lilian and May and his half brother Joseph Evans.

In 1911 he was recorded lodging at 2 Saxon Road, East Ham and he was employed as a frame finisher.
