Dandridge, Richard

Dates: 1899 - 1918

War Service: Richard Dandridge served as a Rifleman with the 21st (County of London) Battalion (First Surrey Rifles) London Regiment and his service number was 656397. He died on 13th July 1918, aged 18, at the Military Hospital, Chiseldon.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details: Richard Dandridge was born on 13th December 1899 and was baptised on 3rd January 1900 at St Nicholas', Deptford.

In 1911 he was recorded living at 21 Ffinch Street, Deptford with his parents, Thomas and Mary Ann. He had two brothers, George and William, and two sisters, twins Lizzie and Mary Ann.
