Dallimore, Leonard Lewis

War Service: Leonard Lewis Dallimore served as a Private with 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers and his service number was 55155. He died of his wounds on 2nd May 1917, aged 25. He is buried at Brockley Cemetery.

Location of Memorial: He is buried in Brockley cemetery, where his name is recorded on the screen wall listing those whose graves have no headstone.

Details:
Leonard Lewis Dallimore was born between October and December 1891 and he was baptised on 7th February 1892 at St Mary Magdalene, Peckham. His parents were William Horatio and Caroline Sarah and the family lived for sometime at 48 Gellatly Road, New Cross.

His father, William Horatio Dallimore, died in 1908 aged 55. In 1911 Leonard was living at 48 Gellatly Road with his widowed mother Caroline and his sister Rosalie. He was employed as a clerk at wholesale stationers.
