War Service:
Private GEORGE CRISP of the 6th battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) was killed in action on 2 July 1918, aged 23. He originally joined the 11th battalion RWK.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at St Peter’s church, Brockley.

Details:
He was the son of of William and Emily Crisp, of 103, Sangley Rd., Catford. Before enlisting he worked as a milkman.
His brother Harry was killed on 15 September 1916 while serving with the 11th battalion.
