War Service:
HAROLD TRENHAM CRESSWELL enlisted in the Queen’s Own West Kent Yeomanry on 28 September 1915.

He was discharged from the army with tuberculosis on 21 March 1916 and died in Lewisham in the December quarter of 1916.

Location of Memorial:
His name appeared on the war memorial at Malvern House school and he is remembered on the war memorial in the church of St Mary the Virgin, Lewisham.

Details:
He was 21 years old, the son of Thomas and Ellen Cresswell of 18 Rosenthal Road, Catford. He was baptised at St Mary’s church, Lewisham on 7 October 1894.
Before enlisting he worked as a bank clerk.
