Lance Corporal FRANK VICTOR COPPACK of the 1/15th (County of London) Battalion London Regiment (Prince of Wales' Own Civil Service Rifles) died on 7 October 1916.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the St Mary's Church Memorial, Lewisham and on the Lewisham Borough Council staff Roll of Honour.

Details:
He was born in the summer of 1897 in the Wrexham Registration District. One of 3 sons of Frank Stewart and Emily Jane Coppack of 148, Inchmery Road, Catford. His brothers Charles Richard and Arthur Henry were also killed in WW1, only their 2 sisters survived. Frank Victor or Victor as he was known at work was a Junior Clerk in the Borough Accounts Department, where he’d been given permission to enlist 9 June 1915.
