Private 632139 FREDERICK LOUIS CONEY of 2/20th (Blackheath and Woolwich) battalion London Regiment died on 25 April 1917, aged 27.
He is remembered on the Doiran Memorial to those who died in Salonika and have no known grave.
Location of Memorial:
His name appears on the memorial in Chiesman’s department store which formerly stood in Lewisham High Street on the site now occupied by the police station and also on the 20th London Regiment Roll of Honour.
Details:
He was the son of William Jesse and Edith Coney, of Deptford. He enlisted in Lewisham.
