Coman, Albert

Dates: 1893-1914

War Service: Albert Coman served as a Private with the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. His service number was 11249. He died on 22nd December 1914 and is commemorated on at the Le Touret Memorial.

Location of Memorial: Albert Coman is remembered locally on the St Pauls, Deptford WW1 War Memorial.

Details: On the 1911 census Albert Coman is recorded living at 23 Glenville Grove, Mornington Road, Deptford with his parents Frederick James William and Emily Jane. Also living there were his three brothers Alfred Edward, Louis Ernest and George Alexander, and three sisters Hilda Alice, Helena Elizabeth and Grace Alexandra. At this time his occupation is given as confectioner.
