Second Lieutenant JAMES HENRY WILLIAM COLLINS of 6th battalion The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment died on 6 May 1917, aged 22.

He is buried in Baghdad North Gate War Cemetery.

It is not possible at present for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to manage or maintain its cemeteries and memorials in Iraq.
Alternative arrangements have therefore been implemented and a two volume Roll of Honour listing all casualties buried and commemorated in Iraq has been produced. These volumes are on public display at the Commission's Head Office in Maidenhead.

He is also remembered on the memorial at Goldsmiths College, New Cross.

He was the son of the late Mrs. M. A. Bristow (formerly Collins), of The Mount, Cranleigh, Surrey, and the late J Collins.
