Private 9390 PERCY COLE of 1st battalion Honourable Artillery Company was killed in action on 24 April 1917.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras memorial.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at Addey and Stanhope School in Deptford and on the war memorial at Biggleswade.

Details:
He was the son of Alfred and Alice Cole, of Kimberley House, Biggleswade, Beds. He lived in Deptford and enlisted in Finsbury. A full length portrait of Percy Cole and other local men who died was displayed in the Biggleswade Wesleyan Methodist Chapel and is now in the possession of the Bedfordshire and Luton Archives and Record Service.
