Lieutenant HAROLD MARTIN CLARKE of 1/17th (County of London) battalion, London Regiment ( Poplar and Stepney Rifles) died on 26 September 1915, aged 26.

He is buried in Loos British Cemetery.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at Christ Church, Forest Hill.

Details:
He was the son of George William and Alice Mary Clarke. In the autumn of 1914 he married Daisy Emily Keatch in St Albans. When war broke out St Albans was the mobilisation centre for the battalion.
