Private 233041 AUGUSTUS JOHN CHINNERY of ‘B’ Company, 2nd battalion London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) was reported missing in action on 16 August 1917.

He is buried in Hooge Crater cemetery in Belgium.

Location of Memorial:
He was a member of the 1st New Cross Scout troop and his name appears on their roll of honour at their HQ in Breakspears Road.

Details:
He was 34 years old, the son of Augustus and Laura Chinnery of 128 Shell Road, Lewisham.
