Private HERBERT CECIL CHILMAN of 14th battalion London Regiment (London Scottish) was killed in action on 29 August 1918, aged 19.

He is buried and remembered in the Honourable Artillery Company Cemetery, Ecoust St Mein near Arras.

He is remembered on the war memorial at the church of St Mary, Lewisham
He is also remembered on the London Scottish war memorial at their headquarters in Horseferry Road, SW1

Details:
He was the son of Rubbania Chilman of 10, Roxley Rd., Lewisham, and the late Alfred John Chilman.

When he was attested in February 1917 he was working as a clerk in the office of the Chief Censor at the War Office.
