Cattermole, Ernest Green

Corporal 648020 ERNEST GREEN CATTERMOLE of 1/20th (Blackheath and Woolwich) battalion London Regiment died of wounds on 31 March 1918, aged 31.

He is buried in Abbeville Communal Cemetery extension. There were a number of hospital in Abbeville throughout the war and it seems likely that Ernest Green died in one of them.

He is remembered on the memorials in Monson Road, New Cross, in the church of St George, Catford and on the 20th London Regiment Roll of Honour.

Details:
He was the son of Henry and Eliza Cattermole, of New Cross, and husband of Alice Emma Cattermole, of 156, Kilmorie Rd., Forest Hill.
