Pilot Officer ALAN DOUGLAS CARTER, Royal Air Force, was killed on 13 July 1940 while serving with 94 Squadron. At this time the squadron was based at Khormaksar, Aden flying Gloster Gladiator biplane fighters on air defence patrols over Aden and Somaliland.

He is buried in Asmara War Cemetery, Eritrea.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered in the pages of the History of the Catford Cycling Club.

Details:
He was 22. He was the son Edward and Susie Carter, of North Harrow, Middlesex.
