Lance Corporal 10084 REGINALD CHARLES CALVER of ‘D’ company, 11th battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) died of wounds on 19 September 1916. He was made up to lance corporal on 5 November 1915. He went to France on 3 May 1916.

He is buried and remembered in Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-l’Abbe. There were three Casualty Clearing Stations at Heilly and the railway station was the closest the ambulance trains got to the front.

He is remembered on the memorial in the church of St Mary the Virgin, Lewisham.

Details:
He was 35 years old, the son of Richard and Annie Calver, of 10, Church Grove, Lewisham. He married Edith Mary Harvey in Lewisham in the summer of 1905. They lived in Felday Road, Lewisham. Before enlisting he worked as a gold and silver refiner.
