Buxton, Leslie Arthur


War Service:
Lance Corporal LESLIE ARTHUR BUXTON of the 11th (Lewisham) battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) died on 15 September 1916, aged 20. On this day the battalion took part in the attack on Flers, its first major action.

Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Bulls Road cemetery, Flers. He is remembered on the memorials at St Mildred’s church, Lee, Northbrook School and the South Lee Tabernacle.

He was the son of Arthur and May Buxton, of 77, Burnt Ash Road, Lee.
