War Service: Robert William Burrows served as a Private with the 2nd (City of London) Battalion (Royal Fusiliers) and his service number was 7596. He died on 18th September 1916.

Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the memorial at the church of St. Luke, Evelyn Street, Deptford.

Details: In 1901 he is recorded living at 28, Sayes Street, Deptford with his parents Charles and Jane, and his siblings Charles, Jessie and Amelia. He is employed in a biscuit works carrying boards.

In 1911 he was recorded living at 14 Sayes Street, Deptford with his parents and siblings. He was employed as a knife and tin worker.
