Leading Aircraftman HAROLD ALFRED BURMAN Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve was killed on 31 August 1942, aged 21. He was one of 15 RAF aircrew killed while under training at the Spartan School of Aeronatics based at Tulsa Municipal Airport.

He is buried in Miami (Grand Army of the Republic) cemetery, Ottawa County, Oklahoma, USA.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred R. Burman of Honor Oak Park.
