Second Lieutenant ROY ERIC VICTOR BUCHAN of 23 Battery, 40 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery was killed on 27 March 1916, aged 18.

Location of Memorial:
He is buried in Divisional Cemetery, Ypres and remembered on the war memorial at Christ's Church, Blackheath and the memorial to members of the staff of the London Assurance previously located at Royal Sun & Alliance buildings, Ledsham, Cheshire but now in the National Arboretum, Alrewas.

Details:
He was the son of Lieut-Cdr. David Buchan, R.N.R., F.R.G.S., and Gertrude Buchan, of 117, Lee Road, Blackheath. His death was reported in The Times of 1 April 1916.
