War Service: Sidney Brown served as a Rifleman with 12th Battalion London Regiment and his service number was 473088. He died of his wounds on 10th November 1918, aged 23, and is buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery Wimille.

Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the St Pauls, Deptford WW1 War Memorial.

Details: Sidney Brown was born on 2nd June 1895 and he was baptised on 30th June 1895 at St Paul's Church, Deptford.

In 1901 he was living at 229, Grove Street, Deptford with his parents, Charles and Margaret, and his brothers, Arthur and Edward, and his sisters, Martha, Gertrude and Lydia.

In 1911 he is living at 229, Grove Street, St Paul Deptford with his parents and siblings.

His brothers Edward and Arthur are also commemorated at St Paul's.
