Lieutenant LOUIS FOSTER BROWN of ā€˜Cā€™ company, 38 Battalion of the Machine Gun Corps died on 14 May 1918, aged 35. He was born in Newcastle.

He is buried in Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport. By 1918 the area around Le Treport contained a number of military hospitals and convalescent centres. Most of the burials in this cemetery are from these hospitals.

Location of Memorial:
He is remembered on the memorial at Brownhill Road Central School, Catford where he was a master.

Details:
He was the son of John and Isabella Brown of 4, Lowther Hill, Forest Hill.
