War Service: Edward Richard Brown served as a Private with 2nd Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers and his service number was 24064. He died on 7th October 1918 and is buried in grave at the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gouy.

Location of Memorial: He is remembered on the St Pauls, Deptford WW1 War Memorial.

Details: Edward Richard Brown was born on 21st July 1896 and was baptised on 30th August 1896 at St Paul's, Deptford.

In 1911 he was recorded living at 229 Grove Street, Deptford with his parents Charles and Margaret. Also living there were his brothers Arthur and Sydney and sister Martha. He also had 2 other sister Gertrude and Lydia

His brothers Arthur and Sidney are also commemorated at St Paul's.
